Vivo has been sharing teasers of its upcoming OriginOS 6 skin for some time now, and now the company has officially revealed that trials of OriginOS 6.0, based on Android 16, will begin on September 29th. This testing will be available on select smartphones from Vivo and its subsidiary brand iQOO.
Vivo and iQOO posted this information on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). According to the company, Vivo and iQOO users in India can participate in the OriginOS 6 Preview Program starting on September 29th. Since testing slots are limited, interested users must register early.
Vivo used the hashtag #VivoXseries in its post on X, indicating that this preview will initially be available only for X-series smartphones. It is expected that the company will expand this new skin to other models in the future.

On behalf of iQOO, Shankar Singh, DGM of Product Management, iQOO India, stated that the iQOO 13 will be the first iQOO device eligible for this beta testing. Detailed information regarding the preview program will be available until September 29th.

In terms of features, OriginOS 6.0, based on Android 16, will bring several major changes and new tools. This includes iOS-style lock screen customization, dynamic animation effects, a liquid glass-inspired light-and-shadow design, custom themes, faster app launching, improved touch response, and many other advanced features.
