Good things don’t last forever, and the same is happening with a program from Sony. PlayStation Stars, which was a loyalty program for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users and was launched in September 2022, is now ending. Yes, the program was running for the last three years and it will no longer be an active service from November 2026.

PlayStation Stars Loyalty Program Comes to an End:
For those who don’t know what PlayStation Stars is, let me explain it. It was a loyalty program that offered PS4 and PS5 users the opportunity to become members for free. Players used to get many rewards for joining this program, especially in-game items.
Of course, you got these rewards for completing the various campaigns that were set for you. Apart from in-game rewards, users sometimes also got video games and PlayStation Store credit.
However, now PlayStation has decided to end this loyalty program. So, what does this mean for members who are already associated with this program? They will remain members until this program is completely shut down. It is worth noting that if you cancel your membership now, you will not be able to join this program again. New users can no longer register for such programs.
PlayStation Stars: What Happens Now?
While PlayStation has stopped registering new members to this service, existing members can continue to earn all the points from the various campaigns until July 23, 2025. After that date, you will remain a member, but will no longer be able to earn any new points. If you cancel your subscription after May 21, 2025, all your points will be lost. Therefore, I recommend that you stay in this program until it ends completely.
However, PlayStation will give existing users time until November 2, 2026 to claim all their accumulated points. The PlayStation Stars loyalty program will end completely on November 2, 2026.
PlayStation Stars: What Lies Ahead?
Sony says that this particular version of the PlayStation Stars loyalty program will end on November 2, 2026. Since this version is coming to an end, it can be expected that Sony will come up with a new, redesigned PlayStation Stars loyalty program that will offer users even better benefits than before.
At the moment, only Sony’s PlayStation division knows if this will actually happen or not.
