Today has been a disappointing day for the gaming world. One of the most awaited games, Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI), has been officially postponed. Yes, no one will be able to play GTA VI this year.
Rockstar Games, the creators of the Grand Theft Auto franchise, has released a statement on their website and official X (Twitter) in which they have shared information related to GTA VI.
Grand Theft Auto VI will now be released in 2026. Yes, the game has been postponed for another year, but at least we now have a confirmed release date. GTA VI will now be released on May 26, 2026. That means in about a year and two weeks from now we will be able to play GTA VI.
We’ve had our share of GTA VI disappointments before – and now again.

Now that the game has been officially delayed, GTA fans around the world are disappointed that they’ll have to play the same old GTA games for another year.

PC Release Dates?
There is no information yet whether the PC version of GTA VI will also be released in 2026 or not.
According to the information available at the moment, this game will be released on 26 May 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S. But what will be the release date of the PC version, only Rockstar Games has the answer to this.
Till then we have to wait for more information related to GTA VI from Rockstar Games in the coming months.
